It is almost impossible to pick only T H R E E favourites from the CCAD graduate show as everyone is so talented, however, I have interviewed three designers who I believe will have a great future and whose work particularly impressed and inspired me.

What is your concept/what are your inspirations?
My concept is "Finding Pattern". I am passionate about mark making, and creating abstract graphic designs. 'Finding Pattern' was about digitally manipulating photographs that I had took around my university and hometown and extracting hidden pattern.
Which artists/designers influenced you the most throughout your FMP?
I am most influenced by pattern maker, Ashley Goldberg, and painters, Kirra Jamison and Britt Bass Turner.
What is your specialism?
I specialise within interior wallpapers.
What is your target market?
My target market most likely lies between late teens to early 30's. I don't really work to a target market, it completely resides on personal taste.
What are your future aspirations?
I hope to create a recognised brand. I want to gain experience through working in industry in hope to gain knowledge in order to start my own business. I will continue to design and print in the meanwhile.
How would you describe your final collection in one sentence/a few words?
Mark making, abstract, and graphic.

What is your concept/what are your inspirations?
My concept is based on the perception of memories. Most of my work is influenced by the past and I wanted to create a personal response to how I perceive my own memories and also how I perceive the memories that have been shared with me. I have a collective style, with influence from my British Heritage; I have a love of anything quirky and quintessentially British. From my seaside hometown to my favourite bustling city of London. My inspiration also comes from my on going fascination of illustration, 'the past' (such as memories, ephemera and vintage collections), Typography & Interiors.
Which artists/designers influenced you the most throughout your FMP?
I LOVE Mister Finch. I could make a very long list of artists and designers that have influenced me but his work is my favourite. I love how he uses vintage products and finds and gives them a life of their own.
What is your specialism?
I am a designer maker with a passion for embroidering and embellishing digital prints and turning them into something lovely. Although my work is digitally printed, I do have a love of the ‘make do and mend’ concept and try to gather my threads, components and embellishments from various sources such as charity shops, from old clothing and some are passed down and are then recycled into my work. Not only as an ethical statement, but because I believe that it adds authenticity to my work. It also means not all of my work is the same and each piece has been embellished with the past and has its very own story.
What is your target market?
I would say my work is high end because every piece is hand made and bespoke, not one piece is ever the same. I don’t particularly have a client in mind as I think my style is so collective and it can attract different markets.
What are your future aspirations?
I am still finding myself within my artwork. I love what I do but I don’t think it’s quite right yet. As soon as I feel comfortable and confident I plan on starting my own online shop, which I hope to turn into a shop in York some day. Who knows!
How would you describe your final collection in one sentence/a few words?
With the use of Digital Print and Fabric Enhancement, I create beautiful art with things I love.

What is your concept/what are your inspirations?
My concept is "Fragmentation Within Biodiversity" taking inspirations from naturally formed textures.
Which artists/designers influenced you the most throughout your FMP?
The designers which have inspired my FMP the most would be Stephen Wright, Marimekko & Sabrina Ward Harrison.
What is your specialism?
My specialism lies within print making.
What is your target market?
My collection has no particular target market as I would like to sell one off, bespoke, pieces of art for galleries, shops and commissions rather than having my work in commercial production. However, if I was offered the chance to produce my work commercially I wouldn’t turn it down!
What are your future aspirations?
I would ultimately like to work abroad. I have a 6 week internship lined up at Longina Phillips Design, Sydney in August, however I would love to stay in Australia a bit longer, if possible, gaining studio experience before going freelance or opting for self employment.
